Clive After Five is an outdoor event, featuring great bands and cold drinks in a social atmosphere, where all can enjoy themselves after a long workweek. The Clive Jaycees host this event on Fridays throughout the summer from 5 to 8:00 p.m. The proceeds from the event go to local charities in the metro area. You must be 21 or older to attend. Please, no pets allowed.
Parking is available on side streets around Linnan Park. Attendees should be prepared to walk a block or two.
Admission to Clive After Five is free!
Drink tickets are available for $3 each from the ticket stands located throughout Linnan Park. Tickets purchased are good throughout the 2008 Clive After Five season.
If Clive After Five is to be cancelled due to rain or bad weather; it is most often called off by 3:00pm the day of the event. KISS 107.7 will make the announcement and the cancellation will be posted here at the Clive After Five website.
Clive After Five is the Clive Jaycees' main fundraiser for the year. In the last several years, the Clive Jaycees have donated more than $350,000 to local community organizations. Twice yearly, allocations are distributed to organizations in the Des Moines metro area. Community organizations receiving donations in the past include: The Heart Connection, Amanda the Panda, Animal Rescue League, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Cystic Fibrosis, Hope Ministries, Festival of Trees, Girl Scouts, Camp Courageous and many departments within the city of Clive. In addition, the Clive Jaycees offer the Matt Benjamin Memorial Scholarship program. Two local high school seniors are awarded $1,500 each on the basis of community involvement, academics and financial need.
